McQuade elected as one of Hartford YMCA's directors

HARTFORD, CONN. — Sheryl McQuade of Wilbraham has been elected to the board of directors of the YMCA of Metropolitan Hartford for a three-year term. McQuade is market manager for Connecticut/Western Massachusetts business banking for Bank of America/ Merrill Lynch.

McQuade has a bachelor's of science in finance from Lehigh University and a master's degree from Western New England College. She sits on the boards of the Western Massachusetts Enter-prise Fund, Westmass Business Development Corporation, the American Red Cross Pioneer Valley Chapter, and the Hartford Econom-ic Development Corporation.

The YMCA of Greater Hartford is a non-profit charitable organization established in 1852 and is one of the nation's oldest YMCA's. The YMCA for Youth Development is tasked with nurturing the potential of every child and teen; improving the nation's health and wellbeing; and giving back and providing support to our neighbors.

In 2010, the YMCA of Greater Hartford served more than 111,000 people, including 66,000 children, in 46 towns and cities throughout the Capital Region.
