"Mom Connection" seeks new members

Date: 10/24/2011

SPRINGFIELD — Being a mom can be one of the toughest jobs. Those who are feeling isolated, stressed out, or for those who have wisdom or encouragement to share are invited to The Mom Connection.

The Mom Connection is a monthly support group that offers a different topic of discussion each month.

The group’s Mentor Moms will share their stories and wisdom, as participants share their frustrations and joys of motherhood with one another.

Every month, the moms have the opportunity to create a craft, have some coffee and know that they’re are not alone.

Moms of any age and their children (elementary age and younger) are welcome.

The KidConnection staff is CORI-checked, and just down the hallway so those participating in the monthly meeting are never too far away from their little ones.

Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of the month at Larsen Hall at Westfield Evangelical Free Church, 568 Southwick Road, Westfield.

All moms are encouraged to visit for the first month. For those who decide to stay, the suggested registration fee for the year is $15 with a donation of $5 per month toward activities.

The meeting schedule is as follows: Nov. 15 (this is the third Tuesday of the month due to Election Day), Dec. 13, Jan. 10, 2012, Feb. 14, 2012, March 13, 2012, April 10, 2012 and May 8, 2012.
