Pioneer Valley Women's Running Club announces scholarship

GREATER SPRINGFIELD The Pioneer Valley Women's Running Club (PVWRC) is pleased to continue its annual scholarship to college-bound female students who are high school seniors currently involved in high school track or cross country.

The PVWRC was started in 2000 as a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide encouragement and support for the pursuit of women's running.

Through our member contributions and fundraising, the Pioneer Valley Women's Running Club has created a scholarship fund to benefit a local female runner who is passionate about running.

Young women interested in applying may contact their school guidance counselor to obtain an application or call the PVWRC Scholarship Chairperson, Pauline Craven, directly at 567-0936 by April 30.
