Spring Cleaning

Consider donating what you would have thrown away

After a long winter it's finally time to open the windows, clean the closets and get ready for summer. As you clean and reorganize The Community Survival Center is asking you to remember those families who depend on the center's clothing and household goods program. The thousands of families assisted by the Center who don't have clothing to reorganize, dishes to replace or bedding for different seasons. They barely have enough of the basic items that most people take for granted. In the past nine months 24,403 individuals have received clothing and/or household items from the Center's one of a kind program. Right now there is an urgent need for spring and summer clothing in ready to wear condition and all kinds of household necessities and decorative items. We do not accept furniture.

The Center uses over 20,000 paper bags a year. If they had to purchase paper bags for their programs the cost would easily exceed $3,500. They are asking you to pass on your recycled large brown grocery and paper shopping bags. The donation of paper bags is vital to the Center and an inexpensive way to for everyone to support their programs.
