VOLUNTEER NEEDED TO HELP LUDLOW WOMAN

Do you have a few hours to help a disabled woman in your community? Stavros Center for Independent Living is seeking a compassionate volunteer to help a local woman with timesheets every two weeks. Stavros provides training and a mileage stipend. Stavros offices are located in Springfield, Amherst, and Greenfield. INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS AVAILABLE

RN/LPN: Per diem positions are available for our day and evening training programs. Day classes are Monday-Friday, 8:15 a.m.-4:15 p.m. and evenings are Monday-Thursday, 5:30-9:30 p.m. Select the days and hours convenient for your schedule. Phlebotomist/EKG Technician: Per diem position available for our upcoming evening training program. Evening class hours are 5:30-9:30 p.m. Select the evenings convenient for your schedule. We are looking for a current certified Phlebotomist/EKG technician with a minimum of four years documentable occupational work experience and an associates degree not in specialty. NURSE ASSISTANT TRAINING COURSE

Applications are now being accepted for the American Red Cross "Nurse Assistant Training" course at the American Red Cross Pioneer Valley Chapter. Several classes will be held in the coming months. Day classes: 8:15 a.m.-4:15 p.m., Monday-Friday, Pioneer Valley Chapter headquarters, 506 Cottage St., Feb. 20-Mar. 13. Night classes: 5:30-9:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, Pioneer Valley Chapter headquarters, 506 Cottage St., Springfield, Feb . 26-Apr. 10. Candidates will learn principles required to take the Massachusetts State Certified Nurse Assistant exam. Class sessions include instruction, skills practice, and clinical exposure. MALL WALKERS PROGRAM

Holistic Simplicity, LLC will sponsor the Mall Walkers program at Eastfield Mall on Feb. 14 at 9 a.m. in the Food Court. Kimberly A. Ladue, RN, Holistic Health Nurse and Consultant, will discuss, "The Simple Truth About Blood Pressure." Learn exactly what blood pressure is, risk factors and causes of high blood pressure, and simple and effective ways to prevent or lower high blood pressure.
