Cancer Connection programs
Cancer Connection announces that the grant application for Rays of Hope has been approved for $35,265 to fund programs and a support group for women with breast cancer. The fourth Annual Rays of Hope Walk Toward the Cure for Breast Cancer will be held on Oct. 28 in Forest Park, Springfield.
Art Angels of Community Foundation has also given a grant of $2,000 to the Cancer Connection Painting for Joy program facilitated by Lucy Meuller Young.
RSF Global Community Fund Inc of San Fransico has given a grant of $2,500 for general operating support; support was provided by the AnJeL Fund of RSF Social Finance.
Cancer Connection offers programs and support free of charge for anyone living with a cancer diagnosis. Cancer Connecticut was founded in 2000 and is dependent on voluntary contributions from community individuals and businesses and grants. Cancer Connecticut is located at 269 Locust Street in the Silk Mill at the corner of Route 9 and Straw Avenue in Florence.
