Fundraiser to benefit Noble Visiting Nurse, HospiceDate: 5/1/2014 WESTFIELD – Noble Visiting Nurse & Hospice will be hosting its 10th Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser on May 16 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Tekoa Country Club, 459 Russell Road.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. All attendees will receive a $10 coupon for Hofbrauhaus International & Bavarian restaurant in West Springfield, as well as have their names entered at the door for a chance to win tickets to a concert by One Direction. Once inside, guests will be able to sample from ten tables of different wines. Craft beer and hors d’oeuvres will also be available.
The Wine Tasting serves as the major annual fundraiser for Noble Visiting Nurse & Hospice, which provides home and hospice care to over 1300 patients annually across the Pioneer Valley. The fundraiser also helps make possible programs such as their Children Bereavement Group, which provides free in-school bereavement counseling to children in Westfield, Agawam, and Southwick.
“As a not-for-profit, community agency, we count on this fundraiser to support our programs,” David Mol, CEO and president, Noble Visiting Nurse & Hospice. “Everything we raise goes back into supporting our community.”
The fundraiser typically helps the agency bridge gaps between reimbursements they receive from the government, which are in decline, and the actual cost of programming.
Hosted by Westfield Spirit Shop, the Wine Tasting is sponsored by a number of local businesses and organizations. Westfield Bank will act as the event’s main sponsor.
“We want to thank Westfield Bank for their strong sponsorship of the agency, along with all our other sponsors,” Mol said. “We are proud to do this every year, and think it is a fun social event for the community.”
Those interested in attending can call the Noble Visiting Nurse & Hospice office for tickets at 562-7049.
