Life Enrichment Expo slated for April 22 at the Basketball Hall of FameDate: 1/18/2010 GREATER SPRINGFIELD Are you in need of new resources or advice for your future plans? Whether you are advocating on behalf of yourself or a parent, you will find useful tools at the 19th Annual Life Enrichment Expo at the Basketball Hall of Fame on April 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The annual Life Enrichment Expo is the original major event of its kind for those aged 50 and older.
More than 60 exhibitors will be there to answer questions and cater to mature adults. Get information about health care providers, housing options, volunteer opportunities, financial planning, home alterations for the elderly, fashion advice, entertainment opportunities and more.
This year, Carlin Trietsch is the new coordinator of the Life Enrichment Expo. Trietsch serves as the Senior Adult Director at the Springfield Jewish Community Center. She brings a new energy to an already successful program.
"It's wonderful to interact with all the people who benefit from Life Expo, from the 60-year-old who is considering retiring, to the 35-year-old caring for an elder parent to the exhibitors who provide services to this target audience," Trietsch said.
"People who are looking for tools from new sources about a variety of options available will the Life Enrichment Expo to be extremely helpful," She added.
Admission is free. There will be plenty of free on-site parking and all the exhibits are handicapped accessible.
The Life Enrichment Expo is presented by Health New England and is sponsored by PRIME Magazine/Reminder Publications and by the Springfield Jewish Community Center (where all, including the general community, are welcome!). NovaCare Rehabilitation is a gold sponsor; and CBS TV 3 is a media sponsor.
