New workshops available at Cancer House of HopeDate: 10/6/2010 SPRINGFIELD The Cancer House of Hope, a Westfield and Springfield-based cancer support non-profit organization, is offering free-of-charge workshops for people with cancer, as well as their families and friends for the fall.
Workshops at the Springfield House, located at 946 Plumtree Rd., include:- Radiation Therapy and Breast Cancer Discussion with Dr. Mary Ann Lowen. Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m. Lowen, a radiation oncologist at Sister Caritas Cancer Center, will host a discussion on radiation therapy and breast cancer.
There will be question and answer time following her presentation.
- Connecting the Generations in Your Family: An Introduction to Legacy Writing. Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.
Join Certified Life Coach and Legacy Workshop Facilitator Karen Knight as she helps us celebrate and document what is most important in our lives. Important times include cherished memories, people and events that have shaped us, lessons learned, gratitude and hopes for the next generation.
