LONGMEADOW For longmeadow high school students who are struggling with the complexities of the college application and admissions process, local educational consultant Heather Johnson will bring her considerable knowledge to the Storrs Library in Longmeadow on Feb. 23, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The talk will include useful information for both students and parents on the college selection and application process, as well as a helpful question and answer period.

"The college application process can be an intimidating and uncertain one," Johnson said about the event, "and I hope to help students develop confidence in this process so that they will present themselves in the best possible way."

Topics covered during the informative talk will include: searching for the right college, positive application strategies, standardized testing preparation, writing the college application essay, preparing for college visits and interviews, securing financial aid and scholarships, and much more.
