| LONGMEADOW At a recent Longmeadow School Committee meeting, Jay Leib, president of the Longmeadow Rotary Club, presented Superintendent Dr. Scott AndersEn with a check for $4,200, which is to be used to repair or refurbish 120 seats in the Longmeadow High School Auditorium. The money was raised at the March 3 " Songs for Seats " concert sponsored by the Longmeadow Rotary Club which featured Francesco Attesti, (pianist), Annika Kaschenz, (soprano), and the Longmeadow High Lyrics Select Choir. Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 31,000 Rotary clubs located in 166 countries. The Longmeadow Rotary Club meets on Friday mornings at 7:30 am at the Glenmeadow Retirement Community on Tabor Crossing. |
