COA seeks support for program

SOUTH HADLEY The South Hadley Council on Aging will be coordinating the 20th Annual Christmas Basket food collection and distribution. Food will be collected at the following locations beginning Monday, November 20th through Friday, December 8th; all South Hadley schools, Board of Health at Town Hall, Main Library on Gaylord Street (Food for Fines) and the senior center.

This year our motto is "quality not quantity." We are seeking stews, canned meats, paper goods and cleaning supplies to go with the cereals, soups, pasta and vegetables. If you prefer to send a monetary contribution please make it payable to SHCOA/Christmas Basket and send it to the senior center at 45 Dayton Street. If you would like to purchase local food gift cards please do so in small denominations and bring them to the senior center.

In the past we have assisted an average of 88 families each year due to the giving hearts of South Hadley. Please continue to assist this program which shows how much we care about our neighbors.
