Holyoke Catholic to host Silent Auction

GRANBY Holyoke Catholic High School will hold its third annual Silent Auction on Nov. 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the school's Gym at 66 School Street in Granby.

The event will feature some unique and one-of-a-kind items to bid on. Come and enjoy entertainment by our A Capella and Alumni choirs, as well as Highland bagpiper David Peters. Desserts, coffee and tea will be available. What a great opportunity to see old friends, make new acquaintances, and socialize with many Holyoke Catholic parents, alumni, and friends!

Some of the featured items include a 1-week stay at a private home in South Yarmouth, a 1-week stay at a private home at Hampton Beach, NH, a 1-night Getaway at the Sheraton, Springfield, Class of 2005 Hall of Fame inductees autographed basketball, New England Patriots and Red Sox tickets, an official Rawlings Major League baseball autographed by Red Sox player Kevin Millar, artwork, antiques, restaurant gift certificates, lottery tree, autographed books, Thanksgiving food basket, and numerous theme baskets, just to name a few. The evening will also include raffles (50/50 raffle and others).

The event is open to the public and admission is free. This is one event you won't want to miss. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Holyoke Catholic High School Financial Aid program.

Payment is by cash or checks only. Last year's event raised over $16,000.00 for students who would otherwise be unable to reap the benefits of a Catholic education. For more information, call the school at 467-2477, ext. 172 or Joan Partyka at 592-0527.
