SPRINGFIELD – Cellf Juices is providing healthy cold-pressed juices, smoothies, acai bowls, salads and weekly cleanses to the Springfield area. Located at 1026 Bay St., owner Jazlinda Navarro said that she started Cellf Juices after having health problems of her own.
Navarro said that she was experiencing a variety of health issues which prompted her to do her own research on cleanses and juicing. Navarro also spent a month studying under Dr. Sebi, a Honduran self-proclaimed herbalist and healer.
“It was just a health thing. I was really into my health and switching up my diet, trying different things just to get rid of acne, inflammation and just to be more alive,” she said.
This prompted her to begin selling juices from her home and, after building a steady clientele, she expanded into a juice bar and now into her own storefront.
“We’ve been open for about seven to eight months and it’s been really successful,” said Navarro. “Ever since I first started, I still have the same clientele. They still come into the juice bar and they support me. The local community is really, really supportive.”
Cellf Juices also offers weekly cleanses for all levels of experience. For beginners, Cellf Juices offers cleansing smoothies and juice combinations. They offer a variety of juices for someone more advanced and they also offer fasting programs for experts.
Navarro said that many people love Cellf Juices because of its freshness, health benefits and convenience. She said that when people prepare juice or smoothies at home, nutrients can be lost due to their blending methods.
“Everything is freshly cold-pressed and it’s different from juicing at home,” she said.
The variety of juices also allows people to stay full in a simple, effective way.
“A lot of people nowadays, they work a lot, so instead of having those desperate attempts to go to Starbucks, or a coffee shop or McDonald’s they would just come to us, grab a six pack or a four pack and they’re on their way in and out,” said Navarro.
Despite opening during the COVID-19 pandemic, Navarro said that it has actually helped her business rather than harm.
“People are more aware of healthy immune systems, so we sell ginger shots and all of these healthy juices to help flourish your gut, have a nice gut biome and so you’re adding this to diet and your routine so then it helps you be healthy. We also offer spin classes too,” she said.
Cellf Juices offers both online and in-person ordering. Navarro said that her favorite part about owning Cellf Juices is seeing the community come together to support her and educate each other.
“It’s nice to see people come together. It’s like bringing people together on this new journey,” she said. “Everyone was here to help and they wanted to be involved in this new lifestyle and making the community healthier.”
