| By Natasha Clark Reminder Assistant Editor SPRINGFIELD In the ongoing commitment to restore Greenleaf Community Center, Sixteen Acres Civic Association President Clodo Concepcion said he received a call from State Senator Brian Lees (R-East Longmeadow) office confirming the center has received $400,000. "I received a call from Brian Lees earlier. We've been fighting for this for [the last] seven years," Concepcion said. In May State Representative Sean Curran (D-Springfield) told The Reminder that they were awaiting final budget approval from the state. The revitalization of Greenleaf has been estimated at $800,000 in the past. So far they have been allocated $600,000 in state funds. |
