NATIONAL ANTHEM PROJECT
The 700 students of the Gerena Elementary School joined together to sing "The Star Spangled Banner" on Sept. 14 as part of the "The National Anthem Project," a national celebration of the anniversary of the anthem . The project emphasizes the importance of music education in a child's development. Seen above are the students who performed the anthem in the school's office, while others were in classrooms throughout the school.
