GREATER SPRINGFIELD If you've been thinking about signing up for a writing class, now is the time.

This season's remaining session of Sylvia Rosen's popular creative writing class, which meets at the Springfield Jewish Community Center (JCC) on Dickinson Street, is slated to begin on Feb. 26.

The class, now in its twentieth year, meets from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. Additional sessions will begin on Feb. 29 and March 3. Class hours are the same for all three sessions.

Rosen said the class will meet weekly until Memorial Day, "with a break in April."

A former teacher and 10-year columnist for the Springfield newspapers, Rosen is an experienced freelancer who has helped many other aspiring writers to find their voices.

She said following this session, the writing class will then take a hiatus until September.

Cost of the 10-week class is $65 for JCC members and $75 for non-members.

To register, or for more information, call the JCC at 739-4715.
