WEST SPRINGFIELD Close to 30 protesters organized on the North End Bridge on Oct. 5, under the umbrella of the "World Can't Wait Organization - Drive out the Bush Regime."

The local protest was part of a nation-wide effort. "We must say "No!" in one collective voice, joined with our sisters and brothers in 234 other cities, in both red and blue states," Martina Robinson, lieutenant governor candidate of the Green-Rainbow Party said in a speech at the West Springfield protest.

"These people are fine. We didn't expect it to be a problem but because of public safety we stand around the perimeters," Captain Ronald Campurciani of the West Springfield Police Department said to Reminder Publications.

The World Can't Wait Organization on their web site www.worldcantwait.org said World Can't Wait is organizing people living in the United States to take responsibility to stop the whole disastrous course led by the Bush administration.
