WEST SPRINGFIELD – The public hearing for the Memorial Corridor Overlay District was postponed per the petitioner’s request, resulting in a very brief agenda for the Town Council meeting.

In just over a half hour, the council wrapped up its meeting on April 23. A public hearing regarding a zoning ordinance was rescheduled for the May 5 meeting.

According to At-large Councilor Brian Clune, Eastern States Exposition, the petitioner, will make a presentation to the council regarding the proposed change at that meeting.

During the regular meeting, the council made three re-appointments.

The following re-appointments were unanimously approved by the council: Susan Marie Newman to the West Springfield Arts Council, expiring March 23, 2017; Darlene Dallas to the West Springfield Housing Authority Board, expiring Jan. 1, 2019; and Joseph Curran to the West Springfield Redevelopment Authority, expiring Jan. 1, 2019.
