SOUTHWICK – State Sen. Don Humason and state Rep. Nick Boldyga presented a $5,800 check to the Southwick Public Library on Sept. 18. The grant comes as part of $29,000 allocated to support the Southwick, Tolland, Granville, Montgomery and Russell public libraries.
Director of the Southwick Public Library Diana Caruso said the one-time grant money will be used for technology, programming and small building improvements.
Humason and Boldyga said libraries were a priority for them and they will continue to work to provide local aid.
“When you have that library card, it’s the key to knowledge, and knowledge is power,” Humason said.”
