Youth Theatre presents The Best Haunted House Ever

WESTFIELD The Youth Theatre of Stanley Park presents The Best Haunted House Ever, a comical and slightly scary story about a group of young teens in search of the perfect haunted house for their school dance.

Young thespians in grades five through eight, and hailing from Westfield and surrounding communities, grace the stage for three Halloween performances.

Performances will take place Oct. 14 and 15 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 16 at 2 p.m. All performances take place at Stanley Park rain or shine in the Beveridge Pavilion. Performances are free of charge and open to the public. Please note that viewing discretion is advised.

Oct. 16, Mayor Richard Sullivan will kick off the last of the season's performances with a drawing for the 50/50 raffle that is raising money for the 2006 season of the Youth Theatre of Stanley Park. All proceeds will go directly to support the organization.

Raffle tickets are $10 each and may be purchased during the first two performances or at the Stanley Park office Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Ticket holders could have the chance to win up to $5,000 and do not have to be present to win.

Please join the organization in advance of showtime each evening for a pumpkin walk through the gardens of Stanley Park.

The mission of the youth theater program, sponsored by Stanley Park, us to provide creative and challenging theatre and music opportunities for local and surrounding community youths. Children accepted into the program will have an intense growth experience in theatre arts, We emphasize the importance of group and ensemble cohesiveness, acceptance of diversity, the uniqueness of each child and having an exciting time.
