WILBRAHAM Calling all volunteers relatives and parents of students at Minnechaug Regional High School are being sought to volunteer at the 16th Ultimate Party hosted for graduating high school seniors.

The annual shindig was created to give students a safe drug- and alcohol-free environment to celebrate graduation. The location of the party is confidential and students are ushered to and from the event via bus.

"We're pretty proud of the fact that we've been doing it for 16 years. It's fully volunteer only," Sherri Montagna, Ultimate Party publicity person, said. "It's very exciting to go and see the seniors come in. They are just exuding excitement."

Montagna said volunteers are needed to help with the all-night event and there are two shifts available. The night promises fun, prizes, food and more. In the past, students have won door and raffle prizes such as laptops, luggage by L.L. Bean, DVD players, an X-Box and gift certificates. A variety of food and homemade desserts are also offered.

"This is a big deal for these kids," Montagna added. "They are wanting to have something special to do that night. It's a great accumulation of hard work."
