| HAMPDEN Laughing Brook Wildlife Sactuary will host an invasive plant removal workday on May 27 at 12:30 p.m. Removal of invasive plants helps the native plants and the wildlife that depends on them. Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about invasive species and to become valued members of the Mass Audubon team in maintaining the sanctuary. Some gloves and tools are available; those able to bring their own are encouraged to do so. Be prepared to work outdoors. Contact Vistor Services Caretaker Kevin Kopchynski at 566-2226 for more information or to reserve a spot. Parking is limited and the sanctuary is closed to drop-in visits while repairs to flood damage are completed. Bad weather will cancel this event. |
