The cast of "Steel Magnolias" includes Patricia Colkos as Truvy, Kyle Rankins as M'Lynn, Virginia Remillard as Clairee, Carolyn Averill as Shelby -- all of Wilbraham, and Janet Crosier as Ouiser and Joni Sullivan as Annelle -- both of Springfield. The production is directed by Deborah Trimble and produced by David Pelkey.

"Magnolias" is the story of a group of close female friends who meet in Truvy's Beauty Salon and share the joys and sorrows of their lives. It was a popular feature film which included some of the most respected actresses of our time including Sally Field, Olympia Dukakis, Shirley MacLaine and made a star of Julia Roberts in the role of Shelby. The story is known to be the semi-autobiographical depiction of Harling's mother and sister and other people he knew in his hometown of Natchitoches, Louisiana.
