Wilbraham Boy and Cub Scouts recruit for new members

WILBRAHAM Wilbraham Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 327 will host an Open House on Thursday, September 8 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Church of the Epiphany on Highland Avenue in Wilbraham.

As part of the Open House, Cub and Boy Scouts and prospective Scouts will have an opportunity to walk across a 50 foot monkey bridge -- a rope bridge supported by lashed timbers.

The monkey bridge is constructed by the existing Boy Scouts of Troop 327, and is made with a base rope that is three inches in diameter.

In addition to the monkey bridge, the 327 Open House will include other Scout demonstrations, and provide interested individuals with an opportunity to meet both the Scouts and the Pack and Troop leadership, as well as to review the activities for the year.

Pack 327 is Wilbraham's newest Cub Scout Pack, and is open to any boy aged 5 10 (grades 1-5); Troop 327 is two-years old and open to any boy aged 11 17 (grades 6-11).

The Pack and Troop are both chartered by the Church of the Epiphany. For additional information, contact Sam Everett at 596-6497 or Ken McGrady (Sr.) at 596-2950.
