Wilbraham library takes home three awards

WILBRAHAM The Wilbraham Public Library won three Public Relations Awards at the Massachusetts Library Association (MLA) annual conference in Falmouth last week.

"We're Bursting at the Seams," the library's public information campaign on the proposed building project from 1998 to 2004, won first place in the combined campaign category and received the Committee's Choice Award as the best overall entry among the 121 submitted in all categories. In addition, the library's 2003 Annual Report won the second place award in the annual report category.

"We are very pleased to receive recognition from MLA in this statewide competition. We were up against libraries such as Boston and Cambridge, and feel proud and honored," said Christine Bergquist, Library Director.

Entries were developed and produced by staff members Karen Demers; Heidi Kane; and Bergquist; Coralie Gray, library trustee; Jan Finkelstein of Corporate/Community Partnerships; and Carol Guenther of Guenther Associates graphic designers.
