Agawam Little League honors Antonio Bruno

Date: 7/10/2015

AGAWAM – The Agawam Little League 11/12 District Majors team is honored to wear blue ribbons on their hats in support of Antonio Bruno and his family. Bruno was recently injured in an accident. He and his siblings played Agawam Little League baseball for many years and Bruno himself played on the 11/12 District Majors team.

What happened to Bruno “really struck home for our families. We can’t begin to imagine how the family is feeling or appreciate the road ahead of them,” Agawam Little League Board of Directors volunteer Kerry Smith said. The Junior and Senior Legion teams also are showing their support by wearing blue ribbons.

“We told the kids 'think good thoughts for him'. They were proud to pin the ribbons on their hats," Smith added.

Lance Dillard, Agawam Little League president, said, “Everything we do is for the benefit of our kids and our community. Antonio and his wonderful family are part of our family and will also be so. We have only the warmest thoughts and prayers for a healthy and speedy recovery for Antonio and his family.”
