AGAWAM Now in its third year, the popular Mom's Night Out Vendor Night will once again feature a host of area vendors who promise a fun night of holiday shopping.

"Carols will fill the air and this is a great opportunity to patronize local businesses and get some holiday shopping done," Stacy Wieners, coordinator of the Mom's Night Out, said during an interview with Reminder Publications. Weiners is the enrichment coordinator at the Benjamin Phelps School.

The festive shopping extravaganza is planned for Dec. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the auditorium of the school at 689 Main St.

Vendors are still welcome to participate and may sign up by contacting Wieners at 786-5039. Vendors already set to show their wares include Scentsy!, The Blue Lilly, Raggamuffinz, Premier Designs, Creative Apples and Gifts, Bags by Kim, Aquarius Biscotti Company, Blessings Jewelry, Tastefully Simple, Magnolia Station and Creative Memories. In addition, the Agawam Middle School PTO will be selling "Agawam Brownie Blend Coffee" and representatives from Tupperware, Avon, Party Light, Carlson GMAC Real Estate and Mary Kay will also be on hand to sell products.

Weiners noted that the event is open the public and there is no admission fee.

"Expect candles, crafts, jewelry, scarves, wall hangings, food products, a DJ service, biscotti, coffee, back packs, handmade unique girls boutique clothing, photo cards, cosmetics and more," Weiner said, adding, "Cash and carry items are mostly available as our date is so close to Christmas and special orders may be a challenge."

Proceeds raised from the event will benefit the Phelps PTO which uses the funds for events and programs for children.

Vendors will also be donating items for a Chinese raffle and winners do not need to be present to win. Tickets will be five for $2 or 15 for $5.
