EASTHAMPTON – Mary Ann’s Dance and More is hosting a No-Shave November fundraiser event for the Easthampton Community Center.
The owner of the dance apparel store, Mary Ann Hanlon is asking Dance Dads to fill out the registration form before Nov. 1.
There is a $10 donation fee upon registering. Hanlon will track who donates by invoicing them herself so she knows exactly who donated and how much.
Participants will take a selfie on Nov. 1 and post it on the Event Page. On Nov. 30, dads will take another selfie and post it under their first photo.
During the first week of December, Facebook followers will vote on the winning Dance Dad. Winners will be notified by email. There will also be an announcement on the Facebook page, on their event page, in their email blasts, and posted on the store’s Instagram page.
“The winning dad will get the bragging rights of winning what we hope will be an annual event, so they will be the proud first winner of the event,” said Hanlon.
Hanlon said every year the store typically does a food drive for the center but this year with the pandemic and local restrictions, she thought an in-person type fundraiser would not be as successful as in the past.
Hanlon said the apparel story still wants to help and like everyone else, they had to change their approach.
