HOLYOKE – State Rep. Patricia Duffy joined City Council President Todd McGee and Mayor Joshua Garcia on March 18 for an employee recognition program honoring city workers for their service during the pandemic. After proclamations from the City Council and the state House of Representatives thanking the employees were read, Garcia announced his administration has set aside $1.9 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act funds for employee retention. He did not announce any details about how the money would be used but said the details are being worked out.
