SPRINGFIELD – State Reps. Brian Ashe, Carlos Gonzalez, Orlando Ramos and Jacob Oliveira and state Sen. Adam Gomez presented a $100,000 earmark to the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. Executive Director Paul Lambert said the funds will be utilized to sponsor a scholarship program for the youth symphony orchestra and address maintenance improvements. In their addresses, Lambert and the state leaders discussed the importance of fortifying one of Springfield’s key artistic and economic fixtures.
