CHICOPEE - Lt. Governor Karyn Polito visited the Chicopee area on Oct. 21, taking a tour of Chicopee Comprehensive High School’s Advanced Manufacturing Shop. Polito toured the campus alongside Career and Technical Education Director Carl Ingram and Superintendent Lynn Clark. Ingram shared that the shop has grown significantly due to the Skills Capital Grant Program, which is a state grant that funds the purchasing and installation of equipment in vocational programs. Polito spoke to several students during her tour of the manufacturing shop, learning about how the grant program has benefited the day-to-day operation of Chicopee Comprehensive.
