WESTFIELD – Inner Stillness, a new business in Westfield, celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony Aug. 6 at its location in Hampton Ponds Plaza.
The ceremony was attended by Mayor Donald F. Humason, state Rep. Kelly Pease, and a representative of state Sen. John Velis.
Inner Stillness owner Kathleen Farris said her business will be offering classes and spiritual workshops for “intuitive or empathic” people.
She described herself as a medium, and offers psychic readings and card readings in addition to the workshops and classes.
Humason, Pease and Velis each issued a citation and congratulations to Farris for opening her new business. Greater Westfield Chamber of Commerce Director David Kinstle gave her a citation, as well.
Farris said getting the space set up and running was difficult during the pandemic, and made more difficult with the resulting construction supply shortages. Nonetheless, she was able to open her doors Aug. 1.
“We really appreciate people looking at our community as a place to open business,” said Humason.
Caitlyn Letourneau, an aide to Velis, said that the pandemic taught us that individual well-being is important, and that she is glad to see a business in Westfield that supports that.
