Westfield's Tree Jubilee has tickets available through Dec. 6

Date: 11/30/2023

WESTFIELD — To help fund Westfield on Weekends’ community arts programs, the nonprofit is hosting its sixth annual Tree Jubilee decoration display and raffle at Roots Athletic Complex on Root Road.

There are 28 Christmas trees and 13 holiday decorations, such as wreaths and table settings, in the display, said Lisa Sunderland Burns, a WOW board member and chair of the annual holiday fundraiser. Proceeds of the raffle benefit WOW’s arts and culture programs throughout the year.

Ticket prices range from $5 for three tickets, to $10 for 10, 25 for $20, and $50 for 75 tickets. Tickets are “spent” as entries into the individual raffle for each tree or decoration. For more information, visit www.westfieldonweekends.com.

Each tree or decoration is sponsored by a local individual, family or business. Several of them include gift cards or small gifts sprinkled like snow among the branches. Whoever wins the raffle for those trees will receive the gifts, too.

Burns said the images on the website don’t do justice to seeing the trees and decorations in person. They are in the side lobby at Roots, at 181 Root Rd., Westfield, the same entrance as Reminder Publishing. The entrance is easy to spot, on the left side of the building facing Root Road, with Christmas lights visible in the window.

The display is open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Burns said she knows of several families that visit the display to use the decorated trees as a background for their Christmas greeting card photo.

Tickets can be purchased between now and 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6. The winners of each tree and decoration will be chosen at random electronically on the website hosting the fundraiser, Burns said.
