Lions Club pancake breakfast a success... Thanks!

Date: 2/17/2009

The Hampden Lions Club once again held a very successful pancake breakfast on Superbowl Sunday, Feb 1. This event, attended by more than 270 adults and children, was both fun and relaxing and a time for familes to get together. Friends from town and neighboring communities met at the Hampden Country Club where the breakfast was held and enjoyed the company of each other.

The Hampden Lions would like to acknowledge Friendly's for their very generous donation which helped to make this such a great success. A big thanks goes out to them as well as to the Village Mart in Hampden who donated to this event. Without their help our profits would not have been realized. The Hampden Country Club allowed us to use their facility which was extremely generous of them. The Lions certainly appreciate their support for this fundraiser for the third straight year.

A special thanks goes out to the Junior Waitresses who donated their time to help the Lions clear tables and make sure that each table was supplied with the items needed by each guest. These waitresses were the daughters and friends of Lions and attend school in Hampden. Last, a special acknowledgement goes out to all those who attended and wanted to help out the Lions Club. All profits will be used to support community activities as well as helping Massachusetts Lions Eye Research in their ongoing efforts to cure blindness.
