| I sincerely wish to thank the East Longmeadow Police Department (especially Officer Bailey), the Senior Center, Selectmen, volunteers and the Pro-Shred Company for providing a free shredding day for town residents. I was able to have 25 years worth of documents and papers (about 125 pounds) shredded effortlessly, and in no time at all. I had previously checked with the Wilbraham Post Office and learned this job would have cost me about $90 to have done at their facility. Since this amount could not be squeezed out of my budget, anywhere, I had visions of having a broken back for the rest of my life as I bent over my home shredder doing four sheets at a time. Anyone who did not take advantage of this wonderful "free gift" should certainly consider it if it is offered again. You literally lifted a tremendous burden from my back.
