American International College to host summer sports camps

SPRINGFIELD – American International College (AIC) will host a number of sports camps this summer.

The football team will be conducting a skills camp on Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at Abdow Field. The men’s basketball team will host a boys youth summer camp June 30 through July 3 at Butova and Metcalf Gymnasiums.

Head coach Art Luptowski and assistant coach Chris Oroszko will direct the camp and be accompanied by successful high school and collegiate coaches. More information can be found at aicyellowjackets.com/custompages/mbb/201314/Boys%20Basketball%20Camp%20Brochure_051614.pdf.

The women’s basketball team will be hosting a youth girls basketball camp July 7 to 11 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for ages 7 to 15.

The camp is open to all skill levels. Campers will work with head coach Kristen Hutchison, assistant Josephine McLane, and members of the Yellow Jacket team.

The baseball team is set to host its annual youth summer camp July 14 to 17 at AIC Park.

The camp is split in two age groups – 6 to 7 and 8 to 12.
