Celebrate Homecoming at East Longmeadow

EAST LONGMEADOW On Sept. 29 East Longmeadow High School will kick-off their annual Homecoming. In day-long matchups that include Agawam, Chicopee, Ludlow, Sabis and St. Mary's residents are encouraged to come out and support their local team.

From 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., booster clubs will be on hand with concession booths full of goodies to raise funds. There will also be plenty of fun on hand as well. East Longmeadow High School Athletic Director Matthew Bean named told Reminder Publications about some of the activities to take place.

"As the sports go on, as you walk into the stadium, [there will be] concession stands. Every booster club is going to have their booth and selling their wares," Bean said, adding that there will also be a "snow cone machine and we'll have another group having a popcorn machine, how fast can you pitch booths, basketball three-point shooting contest a dunk booth."

Bean said there will also be sweatshirts and hats on sale. All proceeds benefit the athletic program through the booster clubs.

"We're trying to have a nice fun family atmosphere. Come support the high school team. We'll hopefully generate some revenue to help offset costs of user fees," Bean added.
