Falcons announce 2006-2007 pre-season schedule

Springfield, MA The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today their complete 2006-07 preseason schedule. The Falcons will host two preseason games at the MassMutual Center including: Friday, September 29 against the Hartford Wolf Pack, followed by Saturday, September 30 against the Providence Bruins. Ticket pricing for both home games will be $5.00 for adults, seniors and youths. Springfield will conclude their exhibition schedule on Sunday, October 1 when they take on the Providence Bruins at the Bridgewater Ice Arena.

Friday, September 29, 7:35 pm vs. Hartford Wolf Pack, MassMutual Center: Saturday, September 30 vs. Providence Bruins , 7:05 pm, MassMutual Center: Sunday, October 1, vs. Providence Bruins 1:00 pm, Bridgewater Ice Arena



"Having two exhibition games on our home ice will give our fans a chance to preview the 2006-07 season," said Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon. "Preseason is always an opportunity for players to earn a spot on the opening night roster and playing three games will give our coaches an opportunity to evaluate talent in game situations."

The Falcons will play their home opener on Friday, October 20 at the MassMutual Center with an opponent to be determined. The Falcons will be entering their 13th American Hockey League season and will once again be competing within the AHL's Eastern Conference. Head coach Steve Stirling will enter his first season behind Springfield's bench, while assistant coach Darren Rumble returns for his second season as assistant coach with the Falcons.
