Falcons season schedule

Falcons release season schedule

The Springfield Falcons released the full schedule for 2005-06 regular season The schedule includes 40 homes and two exhibition games to be played at the newly renovated MassMutual Center in downtown Springfield.

The Falcons will play the majority of their home games on weekends with 14 Saturday, 12 Friday and seven Sunday games. Of the seven mid-week games, all but two precede a school vacation week. Starting times will be Monday through Thursday plus Saturdays at 7:05 p.m., Fridays at 7:35 p.m. and Sundays at 4:05 p.m.

The Falcons will open their 2005-06 season with a home game on Oct. 8 against the Portland Pirates.

"Our schedule is extremely fan friendly with so many games on weekends to allow us to continue to market to the family audience." said Bruce Landon, Springfield Falcons president and general manager. "It is also very fair from a competitive standpoint. We only have one difficult weekend of travel when we play Norfolk on Friday and Saturday, and have to play an afternoon game on Sunday in Philadelphia."

The Falcons are hosting two home exhibition games against division rivals. On Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m. the Falcons face off against the Providence Bruins and on Oct. 2 at 4:05 p.m. against the Hartford Wolf Pack. Both games will be played at the MassMutual Center and will provide fans the first opportunity to see the new facility. Tickets for the exhibition games are $8 and will go on sale the morning of Sept. 24.

Falcons ticket packages are on sale now. With a Falcons full or partial season ticket, adults can enjoy up to a 30 percent discount off the cost of individual game tickets. The Falcons are also offering a money back satisfaction guarantee on full season tickets. For more info, contact the Falcons team office at 739-3344.
