Coached by Dr. Steve Sobel, the Springfield Slamm of The Greater Springfield Pro-Am Basketball League are shown after recent workout as they prepare for a very challenging and competitive season. The team plays its first three games June 20, 29, and July 12, all at 7:45 p.m. at the Dunbar Community Center in Springfield. Sobel, nationally recognized motivational/corporate speaker, educator, and shooting coach has assembled a team that "seems to have all the ingredients for reaching new heights."
