Theulen, who also serves as the school's director of athletics, guided the Golden Bears to a 22-8 record that tied as the second highest win total in school history. Western New England College also captured the regular season conference title with a 14-2 mark and advanced to the semifinals of the GNAC Tournament. The Golden Bears ended their season by winning the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Tournament for the program's first ever post-season tournament championship in 41 years.
