Waugh is reassigned to Johnstown Chiefs

SPRINGFIELD The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced that defenseman Geoff Waugh has been reassigned to their ECHL affiliate, the Johnstown Chiefs.

Waugh has played in 10 games for the Falcons this season not registering a point and 25 penalty minutes. Waugh started the season with Springfield and was in the Falcons' lineup opening night in Hartford on October 7. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native has also played in two games for the Chiefs this season. Waugh is in his first season of professional hockey after spending the 2005-06 campaign with Northern Michigan University.

The Falcons will play three games in three days this weekend when they head to Manchester on Friday, followed by a home game against Providence on Saturday. Springfield heads to Lowell on Sunday for a matinee against the Devils at 4:05 p.m.
