Better Life to host Integrative Health FestivalDate: 5/6/2016 SPRINGFIELD – The third annual Integrative Health Festival will offer food, music, children’s activities, vendors, and informative speakers free to the community May 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at The Integrative Health Group and Better Life Whole Foods, 1500 Allen St.
Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to renowned speaker, Dr. Stephanie Seneff, senior research scientist at MIT in Cambridge.
Seneff will present her findings on the controversial subject of the so called “safe herbicide,” glyphosate that day, as well as a series of additional informative lectures given throughout the day by practitioners of The Integrative Health Group.
“We are amazed that Dr. Seneff will be here talking about such a timely and significant subject that has such a dramatic impact on farming and the quality of the food being produced today,” Barbara Giammarino, community liaison at Better Life Whole Foods, said.
The festival will be hosted outdoors where a large variety of vendors will display their products and offer free samples. There will be crafts, nature walks, games, and a nature scavenger hunt for children and adults.
There will be entertainment such as a Tai Chi demonstration, food and music, and a flash mob yoga session is also scheduled.
“This is our third annual and we are getting better every year. We want to provide a forum where like-minded people can come together with their family and learn more about health and wellness and have a good time doing it,” Joe Bonavita, owner, said. “This is a great opportunity for the business community of Springfield to display all the resources and opportunities this city provides to its residents, and all the efforts that are being made to keep people healthy and living longer. We are expecting a great turnout this year.”
