Clinical trials will begin at Baystate Medical Center
SPRINGFIELD Healthy women looking for a different method of birth control, or who may be tired to trying to remember to take the pill every day, may be eligible to participate in a clinical trial of a new contraceptive vaginal ring being held at Baystate Medical Center.
Designed to look at how well the rings prevents pregnancy and whether or not it helps in controlling menstrual cycle bleeding, the clinical trial is being overseen by the hospital's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The trial is open to healthy women ages 18 to 39 with regular menstrual cycles and who weigh less than 209 pounds.
