Go FIT to host a mentor training class
SPRINGFIELD Go FIT, Inc. a not-for-profit Springfield based walking - running - mentoring program for inner city boys and girls will be sponsoring a mentor training class on Sept. 7 from 5:30 p.m.- 7 p.m. for interested community residents. Go FIT provides running shoes, t-shirts, healthy snacks, guest speakers on topics of drug, alcohol and violence safety,nutrition, dental care and more to area residents and to area community centers, schools, organizations in western MA and CT.
Go FIT is a not-for-profit organization sponsored by such corporations as American Saw, Reebok, Spalding, WNEC, Bay Path College and Yankee Candle. The mentor training is scheduled to be held at the Go FIT office, 1000 Wilbraham Road, Springfield.
Sign up is required and participants must be over age 15 yrs.and be willing to have a CORI check (criminal record check). Interest in youth and teens is needed.Call for reservations and information:796 9007.
