LONGMEADOW The Longmeadow Board of Health announces the following schedule of Flu Vaccination Clinics for Longmeadow residents:
Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Greenwood Center. This clinic is open to individuals 55 years of age or older and any individual older than 18 who has a chronic illness (diabetes, heart, lung or kidney disease, or asthma).
Oct. 18, Nov. 4 and 9 at Greenwood Center (Adult Center Wing) These clinics open to any individual older than 18 years, regardless of health history. Dates and times are as follows: Oct. 18 from 4 to 6 p.m.; Nov. 4 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.; and Nov. 9 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Vaccinations are available until the vaccine supply is exhausted on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is necessary.
As in previous years, there will be no out-of-pocket cost to residents 65 years of age or older who are enrolled in Medicare B. Residents younger than age 65 who are subscribers of Massachusetts private or public health care plans (with the exception of United Health plans) will also have no out-of pocket charge. The charge for subscribers of out-of-state health plans or United Health Care Plans is $5.
All clinic attendees should bring their insurance cards with them for verification of coverage.
