Springfield JCC welcomes Rembrandt as new Assistant Executive Director

Date: 1/11/2010

GREATER SPRINGFIELD A new era is about to begin at the Springfield Jewish Community Center (SJCC), with the hiring of Jeff Rembrandt as Assistant Executive Director. In 2009, when then Assistant Executive Director Michael Paysnick took over at the helm of the SJCC upon the retirement of Mark Dindas, Paysnick assumed the responsibilities of both positions. Well, help has finally arrived!

Rembrandt's first day at the SJCC was Jan. 4. In his new role, he will be responsible for the internal operations of the building, supervising program staff, staff training, program quality assurance and assisting in fund development.

"We are so excited to have Jeff on board and are quite confident that he'll have a positive impact on our center. I am extremely grateful to our search committee chair Margie Smith and the entire committee, Howard Trietsch, Jeff Novak, David Katz, Susan Porter and Sally Schneider for all of their efforts with the selection process," Paysnick said.

Rembrandt is a Human Services Administrative Professional with more than 20 years of management experience in a variety of non-profit and for-profit settings. He is a graduate of Kent State University and has a master's degree in Social Service Admin-istration from the University of Cincinnati. Rembrandt is moving to the Springfield area from Cleveland, Ohio, and has worked at JCCs in both Cleveland and Cincinnati. Rembrandt and his wife, Rabbi Rachel Rembrandt, have three children.

"I am looking forward to working with the excellent staff and lay leadership of the Springfield JCC in order to help the agency continue its outstanding community programming and to help assure that the JCC continues to grows and thrive in the Springfield area," Rembrandt said.
