Baystate Noble receives gift from St. George CathedralDate: 2/18/2016 WESTFIELD – Baystate Noble Hospital’s Oncology Department was the recipient of proceeds from the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral annual holiday concert on Dec. 6, 2015.
Father Christopher Stamas from St. George presented a check for over $5,000.00 to Allison Gearing-Kalill, Vice President of Community Development.
The concert featured the Westfield State University Wind Symphony and Chorale, St. George Grande Chorale, and Progressive Community Baptist Church choir.
Baystate Noble Hospital would like to thank Father Christopher Stamas, St. George Cathedral parishioners, concert organizers, the performers, and Nicole Lipp – a breast cancer survivor who received treatment at Baystate Noble Hospital – for selecting the Oncology Department as the concert funds recipient again this year.
“We would like to thank St. George Cathedral for donating their Christmas Concert proceeds to Baystate Noble Hospital. These funds will help patients in our Oncology Unit going through cancer treatments,” Allison Gearing-Kalill, vice president of Community Development at Baystate Noble Hospital, said. “Being a part of and attending the St. George concert has become a tradition that I hope we can continue for many years to come. It is a great way for everyone to get into the holiday spirit and support our community.”
