WEST SPRINGFIELD Performance Rehabilitation is pleased to announce the addition of Tina Fortier, PT, to our Physical Therapy team at 1111 Elm St.
Fortier is a graduate of the University of Lowell and has been practicing in our area for over 20 years. Primarily working in outpatient physical therapy settings, Fortier has extensive experience in orthopedic and balance/vestibular rehabilitation. Balance and vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise approach to the remediation and reduction of vertigo and imbalance.
Balance and vestibular rehabilitation is highly effective at improving balance and overall studies have shown that compliance with an appropriate balance program results in remediation of symptoms in the 60 - 90 percent range. If symptoms are not addressed individuals may develop compensatory patterns of movement to decrease symptoms or maintain balance.
Performance Rehabilitation provides a full range of rehabilitation services to help patients regain function and achieve recovery. Services provided by Performance Rehabilitation include Balance and Vestibular Rehabilitation, Hand and Upper Extremity Rehabilitation, and Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
If you would like to make an appointment or inquire about our services please contact our facility at 781-7538.
